Free: two Macs
The free download covers two Macs completely: encrypted keyboard and mouse, Bonjour pairing, drag-to-arrange layout, auto-reconnect after sleep, and the menu bar with live status.
Clipboard sync includes text, images, and files up to 5 MB. You can also send one file at a time to another Mac, up to 5 MB, and jump to a paired Mac from the menu bar (Connect). Install on both machines, pair once, and use the full input path at no charge.
Pro: three or more Macs
Pro is for desks with a third Mac and beyond. Everything in Free still applies, on as many Macs as you own.
Pro removes the Mac count limit and lifts the size caps on clipboard and file transfer. It also adds native trackpad gestures, Select to Copy, Wake-on-LAN, keyboard on a locked Mac, and keyboard from a cold start (that last item is still in progress in the current build).

Pricing model
You pay once for the macOS version you are on, plus the next major macOS Apple ships. Your licence does not expire on a calendar date. When you move to a build targeting a newer major macOS after that window, upgrades are half price. The app keeps running on the macOS you bought it for.
One licence is for one person, all their Macs, not one seat per machine.
