Free: two Macs
The free download covers two Macs completely: encrypted keyboard and mouse,
pairing with three words, drag-to-arrange layout, auto-reconnect after sleep,
the QuickJump hotkey and switcher, locking the pointer to one Mac with
Globe/fn + L (see Lock the pointer to one Mac),
and the menu bar with live status and latency.
Clipboard sync includes text and images up to 1 MB, and a copied file at any size, one at a time. You can also send one file at a time to another Mac (no folders), or drag it across the edge and drop it into any app there. Install on both machines, pair once, and use the full input path at no charge.
Free covers two Macs. Pairing a further Mac is a Pro feature, and the app refuses it on Free rather than pairing and then withholding something. Pro’s Mac count is a separate thing: it counts licence activations, which is how many Macs may run Pro on one licence.
Pro: five Macs included
Pro removes the two-Mac limit. Everything in Free still applies, with 5 Macs included on one licence. Five is the ceiling: there is no paid add-on for a sixth Mac at the moment.
Pro adds trackpad gestures, Copy on Select, Wake-on-LAN and auto-wake, Mesh Sleep Sync, Sleep Sync, locking every Mac when you lock one, unlocking a locked Mac and logging in at the login window from another Mac (see Lock screen and login window), folders and batch file transfer, Quick Share, and a 32 MB cap for copied text and images.
Quick Share mounts a folder from one Mac inside Finder on another. It needs Pro on both Macs: the one sharing the folder and the one opening it. Folders are shared read-only until you allow writing.

Pricing model
Regular $39 · one-time purchase. See Pricing for any early-bird offer. Pro never expires; optional update feed is $19/year after the first year.
Prices in USD. In most countries this is the final total, with any VAT or GST already inside it. A few US states add sales tax at checkout, which shows the exact total before you pay.
One licence per person · 5 Macs included · not for sharing. Each Mac you use Pro on needs its own activation on that licence.
Your purchase includes one year of new builds, which normally covers the next macOS release. Your licence itself does not expire on a calendar date. After that first year, optional access to new builds is $19/year if you want them. Your installed version keeps running without it, with every Pro feature.
Activate Pro
Paste your licence key under Settings → Licence and choose Activate this Mac. After a reinstall on the same Mac, do the same: it gets its own seat back rather than taking a new one. See Activate your licence for the full flow.
When all five activations are in use, a sixth Mac is not activated. Free one first: Deactivate on the Mac you no longer use, or Remove it from Macs on this licence on another Mac.
