Two Macs, one desk

Two Macs. Two keyboards. One pair of hands.

A work Mac and a personal Mac on one desk. Universal Control wants them on the same Apple ID. Most alternatives treat sleep as a hard stop: reconnect if you're lucky, re-pair if you're not.

Continuo shares your keyboard, mouse, clipboard and files between them over your own Wi-Fi. It doesn’t mirror your screen. Keyboard, mouse, clipboard, and file content stay on your authenticated peer connection. None of it is sent to an Internet service.

What it does

One link between your Macs.
Keyboard, mouse, clipboard, and files.

Native input path

Optimised for your Macs

Native macOS events. Nothing sits in the middle.

Always encrypted

Encrypted, always

Encrypted before it leaves your Mac. No way to turn it off.

Nothing to configure

Zero-config

Your Macs find each other. Nothing to type in.

Three words

Pair with three words

Same three words on both screens? You're paired.

Reconnects itself

Auto-reconnect

Close the lid, come back tomorrow. It reconnects itself.

One file · Pro folders

Send files to another Mac

Drag a file, link or image to the notch, drop it on another Mac. Pro adds folders and batches.

Up to 1 MB · Pro 32 MB

Images and files too

Copy a screenshot here, paste it there. Pro can raise the cap to 32 MB in Settings. Free carries one file at a time and no folders, whatever the size.

Any app · Pro folders

Drop it in the app you want

Keep hold of the file as the pointer crosses the edge, then drop it in a Mail draft, an upload field, or the Dock on the other Mac.

A file still arriving can only land in Finder unless the Pro Drive is mounted.

Quick SharePro

Mount a folder from another Mac

Share a folder and it appears on your other Macs in Finder. Read-only until you allow writing.

Match your desk

Drag to arrange

Put the screens where they really sit. The edges follow.

Copy on SelectPro

Copy on Select

Highlight text and it copies on every Mac.

Pinch · rotate · swipePro

Your trackpad comes too

Pinch, rotate, swipe. All of it crosses.

Both Macs need Pro.

QuickJump

Jump to any Mac

One hotkey, or pick from the switcher.

Works when lockedPro

Works on a locked Mac

Type on a locked Mac from the one you are at.

Both Macs need Pro. The login window at boot is out of reach: Continuo runs per user, so there is no session for it to be in yet.

One clickPro

Wake a sleeping Mac

From the menu bar, without getting up.

Switch it on in Settings, and set Wake for network access on the Mac being woken.

Setup

Under a minute.

No addresses to type, and no Mac to pick as the main one.

  1. 01 · install

    Install on each Mac

Free covers two Macs. Setup explains three core permissions and an optional Location grant for Wi-Fi names.

  2. 02 · verify

    Pair with three words

The same three words appear on both screens. Confirm they match and you’re done.

  3. 03 · move

    Arrange and go

Drag each Mac to where it really sits. Then push the cursor past the edge and keep going.

Security

You shouldn’t have to trust a keyboard-sharing app blindly.

Continuo consumes pairing, identity-pinning, and secure connection-admission code in the product. A buildable package containing that code is prepared for publication, together with a staged and tested generic session-crypto implementation. That generic session crypto is not yet the shipped input-encryption implementation. The full Continuo application remains proprietary.

Continuo sends no telemetry and no keyboard, mouse, clipboard, or transferred-file content to an Internet service. Peer content stays on the authenticated local peer connection.

Pairing
Three words you check on both screens

If anyone gets in between, the words stop matching.

Transport
Encrypted both ways, every time

There’s no setting that turns it off.

Peer data
Stays on your authenticated LAN link

No telemetry. Input content is not sent to an Internet service.

Distribution
Signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized for macOS

Notarization checks for malicious components and signing issues; it is not a privacy audit.

Permissions

What Continuo asks macOS for, and why.

Continuo uses three core permissions to share input between your Macs. An optional Location permission adds Wi-Fi network names to the menu bar, but control works without it.

Input Monitoring
Observes keyboard and pointing-device events on the Mac you are typing at.

If denied, Continuo cannot read your local keyboard or mouse to send them to a paired Mac.

Accessibility
Injects keyboard and pointer events on the receiving Mac as native input.

If denied, you can pair but control will not land on that Mac.

Local Network
Discovers and communicates with paired Macs on your LAN.

If denied, your other Macs will not appear and peer connections cannot start.

Wi-Fi network name · Optional
Shows the Wi-Fi name beside each Mac so split networks are easier to spot.

If skipped, Continuo shows “Wi-Fi” instead. Keyboard, mouse, clipboard, and pairing keep working.

One year of new builds. Included with your purchase, from the day you buy. Continuo drives input at the system level, so a new macOS usually needs a new build, and a year normally covers the next one.

After that year. The app keeps running, permanently, with every Pro feature. Only new builds stop arriving.

Optional update feed. After the included year, new builds are $19/year if you want them. Your installed version keeps running without it.

14-day trial. Every Pro feature, from first install, once the beta ships. No card required.

Tax. Prices in USD. In most countries this is the final total, with any VAT or GST already inside it. A few US states add sales tax at checkout, which shows the exact total before you pay.
