Continuo is a Mac app for Macs. This page answers the questions people ask before they install it on a second machine.
Intel and Apple silicon
Both are fully supported, and they work together. Continuo ships an Apple Silicon build, an Intel build and a Universal build, and all of them have the same features. An Intel Mac and an Apple silicon Mac can sit on the same desk and share one keyboard and mouse. Pro features work between them the same way they work between two Macs of the same kind.
Pick the build that matches each Mac on the download page. If you are not sure, the Universal build runs on both kinds of Mac.
macOS versions
- macOS 15 or newer is required on every Mac.
- macOS 27 is supported.
- The Macs do not need to run the same version. Any mix of macOS 15 and newer works, for example one Mac on macOS 15 and another on macOS 27.
Keep Continuo up to date on every Mac. Updates arrive in the app, and the changelog lists what changed in each one.
Other operating systems
Continuo does not run on Windows or Linux, and it cannot share a keyboard and mouse with a PC. Every Mac in the setup has to run Continuo, and every one has to be a Mac.
What stays the same on every Mac
- All the Macs need to be on the same local network. See Macs cannot find each other if one does not appear.
- Free covers two Macs. Pro adds more, with 5 included on one licence. See Free vs Pro.
- There is no account and no shared Apple ID. See Getting started.
