Version 26.9.22-beta-384
Keep just the Continuo icon in your menu bar, see what's new before you update, and drags and edge crossings no longer get in the way.
Added
- You can hide the other Mac's name in the menu bar and keep just the Continuo icon: Settings → General → Menu Bar → "Show Mac name next to icon". The name stays in the icon's tooltip. The switch is shared, so changing it on one Mac changes it on your other Macs too.
Changed
- When an update is available, the update window now lists what changed in it, not just the new version number.
- The notch drop zone's target picker now opens as you arrive, rather than while you are still on your way past.
- The "Not seeing the icon?" Reset button is gone from Settings › General.
Fixed
- Dragging a file anywhere on screen no longer blocks drops into other apps. The notch drop zone still appears as soon as you start dragging, but until your pointer is actually inside it, drops pass straight through to whatever is behind it — a browser's tab bar, a Finder toolbar or a compose window.
- The volume overlay no longer pops up on the Mac you move the pointer onto. If you had ever held a volume, brightness or media key long enough for it to repeat, Continuo kept believing that key was still down and pressed it again on the other Mac every single time the pointer crossed over. macOS 26 and earlier ignored it silently; macOS 27 shows the overlay, which is how it came to light.
- The power and eject keys are no longer sent to another Mac while "forward power keys" is switched off. Holding one across an edge crossing took a different route than pressing it does, and that route did not check the setting.
