Effective date: 28 August 2026
Continuo is a native macOS app made by Hieu Vu, trading as Continuo. These terms cover how you may use it. Installing or using it means you accept them.
Age
Continuo is not directed at anyone under 16. By using or buying it, you confirm that you are at least 16, or that you have a parent or guardian’s consent where your local law requires it.
What Continuo does
Continuo shares your keyboard, mouse, clipboard, and files between Macs on the same local network. It does not share your screen, it does not work over the internet as a remote-desktop product, and there is no cloud relay for your input. It needs macOS 15 or later, and uses Accessibility, Input Monitoring, and Local Network permissions. An optional Location permission lets the app show Wi-Fi network names; input sharing works without it.
Speed depends on your own network and hardware. Continuo describes its goals honestly, but cannot promise a specific figure for a network it has not seen.
Your licence
Free covers two Macs, at full quality, for as long as these terms apply.
Pro is a one-time purchase. One Pro licence covers one person, with 5 Macs included. Each Mac needs its own activation. Sharing a licence between people, including inside a company, is not allowed.
Updates
Your Pro licence is perpetual. This section is only about optional access to new builds, not about keeping the app you already paid for.
Your purchase includes one year of new builds, counted from the date you buy.
When that year lapses, the app keeps working, permanently, with every Pro feature you already have. Only the feed of new versions pauses.
Optional access to new builds after that first year is $19/year if you want it. There is no subscription: nothing is required to keep using the version you have, and nothing you already own is ever taken away.
If that policy ever changes, the change will apply to new purchases only. A licence bought under these terms keeps what it was sold with. Your copy never asks permission to run, and keeps working even if you stop renewing updates.
Some Pro features arrive later
Where a Pro feature is marked as coming soon when you buy, it is part of what you paid for and arrives with a normal update. If Continuo drops a paid feature without an equivalent, write to hvu@usecontinuo.app and the issue will be resolved fairly.
Buying, refunds, and trials
Purchases go through Polar, who sell as Merchant of Record, take the payment, and handle VAT, GST, and sales tax. Polar’s terms apply to the transaction as well. Your licence key arrives by email. Treat it like a password.
Prices are in USD. In most countries the price shown is the final total, with any VAT or GST already inside it rather than added to it. A few US states add sales tax on top at checkout. Either way the checkout page shows the exact total before you pay anything.
There is a 14-day trial with every Pro feature on before you buy, so you can check it works on your Macs first.
Refunds are 14 days, no questions asked, through Polar. After that, requests are reviewed individually. Email hvu@usecontinuo.app.
Your data
Continuo has no account and no cloud relay for your input. Continuo never receives your keystrokes, cursor activity, clipboard, files, or screen contents. The Privacy Policy and Network manifest have the full account.
What you may not do
Do not resell, rent, or share your licence key. Do not work around licensing. Do not use Continuo on devices you do not own or are not allowed to control, and do not use it to break the law.
Continuo types and clicks on the Macs you pair. Using it only on your own devices and your own network is your responsibility.
Source and ownership
Continuo is commercial proprietary software. It consumes pairing, identity-pinning, and secure connection-admission code in the product. A buildable package containing that code is prepared for publication, together with a staged and tested generic session-crypto implementation. That generic session crypto is not yet the shipped input-encryption implementation. The complete app, motion engine, native trackpad implementation, and Pro features remain proprietary. The current private mirror is preparation for publication and is not public evidence yet.
When the security package is published, you may inspect and test it under its own licence. You may not redistribute or reuse the proprietary application. Continuo also includes third-party components under their own licences, which keep applying. Nothing here reduces any right those licences give you.
Otherwise the app, its name, and its branding remain the property of Hieu Vu, trading as Continuo.
Liability
Continuo is provided as is. Continuo does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free. Implied warranties are excluded as far as the law allows.
Hieu Vu, trading as Continuo, is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits, or revenue. Where liability exists, it will not exceed what you paid for Continuo in the twelve months before the claim.
None of this limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and none of it reduces the statutory rights you have as a consumer. Some places do not allow parts of this, in which case those parts do not apply to you.
Ending
These terms apply while you use Continuo. Continuo may end your licence if you seriously breach them, and you then have to stop using it. The liability and ownership sections outlive that.
Changes
Continuo may revise these terms, and the effective date above shows the current version. Changes apply from when they are posted and never retroactively reduce a licence or update entitlement you have already paid for.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Vietnam.
